Marbach intervenes in the debate about the naturalistic approach to consciousness and mind describing the phenomenological method as a non-reductionist alternative. A first version of the paper was read on the occasion of the Abschiedsvorlesung at the Unitobler, Bern, on Mai 27th, 2008.
