Résumé
Students are forced to learn English in a highly regulated and competitive environment, and their performance in the school subject English, as documented by means of grades, has direct impact on their overall career opportunities. External circumstances of pressure can be counter-productive as a constant source of stress and a psychological obstacle fostering discomfort and insecurity.
