Résumé
It is a great pleasure to congratulate Fritz Stadler on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Institute Vienna Circle. Back then the IVC had started out as a local endeavor to bring home a movement that was admired world-wide – not least by those philosophers who had set out to overcome it –, yet ignored locally – deliberately or simply as the consequence of an intellectual milieu that was, more often than not, inward-looking and highly selective in its historical attitude.
