Here some views will be developed that will serve to locate the problem(s) of participation and indicate the directions in which Plato sought solutions. The matter is important for understanding Plato and, therefore, for understanding philosophy. I think it is pertinent to see that the treatment of participation offered in the Parmenides is directly in line with the development of Plato's primary doctrines.¹
