Résumé

Philosophers in the Twentieth Century have suffered more than ever from the dictatorship of definitiveness. The illusion of the final answer, what two thousand years of Western philosophy had failed to accomplish, was thought in this Century to be at last within reach by the imitation and the adaptation of the methods and results of mathematical logic.
